Vintage 50s fur trim wool coat 1950s Tan nubby wool Swing Coat w/ large brown fur Shawl Collar by Ilene Originals Berroco’s Candlewick

This 1950s winter swing coat is such a special beauty! It is a lovely caramel tan color made of boulce nubby wool that almost has a striped pattern to it and a stunning shimmery soft satin lining. It features a real fur wide collar that can be hooked together at the front with two hook & eye closures or left parted open and a cute rounded tulip dip in the back of the collar. There is also a hidden snap under the collar to secure the coat closed right up to the neck.

There are two designer labels as well as the original owner’s monogram “S.M.D.” on the inside. The designer labels read “Ilene Originals” and “Berroco’s Candlewick Loomed By Stanley”.

This lovely wool coat also features two side entry satin lined pockets and a very unique feature with the 3/4 bracelet length sleeves. The sleeves have a separately attached liner with elastic cuffs to fit forearms snugly, keeping the warmth in and the cold out!

Condition: Very Good! the only flaw is a faint 2.5-3” green tinted stain on the liner but is hardly noticeable (pictured in last photo.)
