This vintage 1970s prairie style caftan is by California designer Karenina Malibu. It is a preppy boho blend of pastel calico patchwork with subtle bursts of brighter colors throughout. There are many unique details such as the embroidered ribbon and eyelet lace trims, and the V neck that folds open revealing different patchwork fabrics underneath, and similarly lining the sleeve cuffs. Most fabrics used are lightweight cottons, although there are a few heavier weight materials used in the patchwork on the side panels. This maxi dress has one pocket on the right side of the dress only and a long zipper in back.

Condition: Very Good! The fabric color has faded in a few areas, mainly the sleeves, shoulders and chest. There are also subtle discoloration stains on the sleeve cuffs (shown in photos). Otherwise, this piece is in great condition.
